For us to be able to begin this study, we must first be willing to go beyond the position of memorizing Scripture. We need to be at the place that we can apprehend the Spirit of the Word where we become convicted by the Word we are hearing. For those that have walked with the Lord for a long time it is easy to become numbed by the memory of what we have gleaned from the Word in the past, and not be sensitive to what it is saying to us today. When we hear a familiar Scripture, our challenge is to receive it as if we had never heard it before, instead of falling into the repetition of repeating the Scripture from familiarity without really paying attention to what it is saying.

The sound of jubilee was a sound the people would long for because it meant a new beginning. It wasn't just for certain people, but everyone in all lands. It wasn't based on whether a person was good, bad, of a certain tribe or country, a certain gender, or status in the community. It was for ALL. The year of jubilee was more than just a year of rest...

The Old Testament was not written for the purpose of providing history lessons; but to give instructions, illustrations, definitions, and types/shadows for us to see God's plan in bringing forth the sons of God on the earth. It shows us the way to walk and also how not to walk. God uses the Old Testament to express truths that are present today for with God there is no past tense. What the children of Israel walked through in the Old Testament is still being walked out by the church today.

"To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven…"

"I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it. And God does it so that men will (reverently) fear Him (revere and worship Him, knowing that He is.) That which is now already has been, and that which is to be already has been; and God seeks that which has passed by (so that history repeats itself)." Ecclesiastes 3: 1, 14-15

"My children, I walk with you and I AM talking to you calling you by MY NAME. I AM the fullness of ALL. Come and share the throne of mercy and grace with ME to BE the manifestation of MY presence in the world. I AM the WORD Christ in you. I dwell in you."

"The WORD became flesh and dwells among men" (John 1:14).

If we do not understand what it means to be heavenly minded, we will find ourselves falling back in a trap of our own will and desire to obtain a goal believing that we are pleasing God. Whether that goal is to have a personal relationship with God or natural achievements, we will always be ensnared with our own self efforts and works that can never be good enough no matter how hard we try.

Scripture gives us many illustrations using the word "cloud" and "water" to reveal spiritual truths paralleling the natural with the Kingdom of God. If we limit our understanding of these Scriptures to clouds in the sky, or bodies of natural water on the earth, we hinder the ability we have of understanding that we are the clouds referred to in Scripture, and the water is the living Word of God in us today.

Many times we have wondered about the character and nature of Judas Iscariot. We like to tell our self that if we were with Jesus, we would be bowing down and worshiping Him. We would be in a state of constant awe as we gave Him praise for His great teachings, the miracles that we had seen with our own eyes, and the dead being raised to life. This includes Jesus himself!

When the unconditional love and mercy of a son of God comes into the presence of others it will causes a reaction. For some that reaction is change for the better, but for others, it is a closed door.

"In Search of the Fathers of the Faith"

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." (Malachi 4:5-6)

I would like to begin this teaching in Matthew 25:31-46 with the passages of scripture that have many times been used in reference to future judgment in the "end times." I have found that there may be something else our Lord and Savior was trying to tell the disciples with this parable besides an end time judgment.
